On the edge of the medieval city wall in Frickenhausen am Main, directly on the river and with a view to the south, rises a barren, stony shell limestone steep slope: Mönchshof.
The soil consists of light shell limestone and reflects the sun back into the vines. In addition, this steep slope benefits from a Mediterranean microclimate. The heavily calcareous terroir produces wines with Burgundian elegance.
